John Hutson
John Hutson is a full-time ceramic artist whose work blends bold color, functional design, and painterly expression. A self-taught painter, John developed his artistic voice through years of independent exploration before later pursuing formal education. In 2013, he earned a degree in ceramics and business, deepening both his technical craft and professional foundation.
Since graduating, John has worked as a full-time artist, creating vibrant, functional pottery that reflects his background in painting. His pieces are known for their expressive surfaces, dynamic glazes, and everyday usability. Art meant not to just be admired, but to be lived with.
John's work has been featured in galleries and shops all across the United States. His ceramics are currently on display in Taos, New Mexico at Coyote Moon and Jones Walker Gallery, as well as in Nevada at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area store.
Through clay, John continues to merge fine art sensibility with functional form, creating pieces that bring color, warmth, and individuality into daily life.
